2019: The year I take my life into my own hands

So. 2018 was trash. I think just about everyone can agree on that in one way or another.

I’m usually not the type of person to create new years resolutions. Or at least attempt to stick to the ones I make. Or make actual achievable realistic ones. But this year I am going to try something different. I made one wide-ranging resolution. To better myself in as many ways as I can.

I think this blog is going to be a great help in my goal. I’m going to basically be documenting my life and new things I try and at the end of the year I’ll have record of all of the ways I tried to better myself.

I’m going to be getting more into my spirituality, my health, making more time for my friends, and just overall bettering myself.

Can you guess what my word for 2019 is? It’s “better.” I want to become the “Isabella 2.0” by the end of this year. Do you think that’s too high of a goal? I think it’s a high enough goal for me. I already know that this year is going to have a lot of changes. I’ll be graduating college in December, getting a “real adult job” and starting my life away from the constant cycle of academics.

I want to get to a point this year where I have a routine and stick to it. I love sleeping in, I’ll sleep half of the day away if I have nothing to do. I want to get into a routine where I wake up around the same time every day and even if I have nothing planned, find something to do that will better myself. Go workout, do yoga, read, be outside, cook. I don’t want my normal routine to be me just laying in bed binging the latest Netflix series all of social media is obsessing over (hi, You, so glad I binged you in an entire day).

I have so many plans for myself this year both personally and professionally and I want to keep myself accountable, no, I will keep myself accountable.

2019 is the year I take my life into my own hands, create the life I want to live, and better myself.
